• Developed a website that allows students to share their work and interview experience for companies and allows companies to respond for reviews posted for them.
• Designed database to accommodate multiple user groups and user relationships such as association, composition.
• Built the application with Spring Boot, JPA, Thymeleaf and polished frontend with jQuery.

Chat Application

• Developed Java based web application in a team following scrum sprint methodologies. The application enables user to communicate in group or in private and provides various chat commands to interact with the application.
• Implemented group messaging and group invitation features with Java WebSocket API and jQuery frontend. Designed and built MySQL database to persist user data.
• Used CI tool Jenkins to facilitate team development and achieved test coverage of 92% through our Junit tests.
• Acted as scrum master in sprint and facilitated communication between team members and project manager.

Meal Planner

• Developed single-page web application in team of 4 with React and Redux as front-end and Elixir Phoenix as back-end framework. The application can search recipes and generate meal plan and grocery list based on recipe selected.
• Retrieved search result via AJAX from server and designed Redux data structure and stored responses into Redux store.
• Controlled behavior of application such as link redirect and page reload with React Router and AJAX calls.
• Implemented client-side functionality with React and React Bootstrap for searching recipes and displaying recipe details.

Android Hourly Planner

• Self-taught Android development with Java and employed MVVM architectural pattern to design an hourly planner app to help user organize daily tasks into hourly time slots.
• Collaborated with teammate to devise plan of app development and construct database and UI of application.
• Constructed database to store user input and calendar information with JPA and Room persistence library.

Researcher

• Created three-dimensional model in MatLab of Uranium particle transportation in soil from experimental data and improved experiment efficiency by predicting possible Uranium hot spots in testing soil according to transport model.
• Designed 3D illustration of Uranium transport model with Blender and presented illustration to engineering contractors.
• Assisted in sequential extraction, ICP-MS measurement and characterization of depleted uranium contaminated soil.
